Ridgewalkers were formed by two Dublin based DJ / producers Podje and Ive. Podje who is renowned for his 8 year residency at the U2 owned Kitchen nightclub and Ive, who is also a long time musician and sound engineer. After many years of djing and re-mixing under different guises the two meet up with singer / songwriter El This was back in 2002, over that summer they spent time in studio working with music and vocals. It was in November of that year an ambient mix of a resulting track from those sessions "Find" appeared on a chill out album called "Sundazed" this compilation featured down beat mixes from UK and Irish acts and was released on Nippy records Many tracks were started during that summer, but "Find" always seemed to come out on top.

Now it was time for the dance treatment and shortly afterwards a progressive house track was produced by the newly re-named Ridgewalkers After a period of traveling for El, the trio were reunited in the studio in 2004. Having signed their dance mix of "Find" to Baroque records and an Andy Moor remix on the cards, the stage was set for their first major dance release Their first vinyl came out on Baroque in June 2004 and instantly picked up rave reviews and high buzz chart placements. Over the coming months the track was hammered by the world's top Dj's across the globe *ncluding PVD, Tiesto, Armin van Burren, Matt Darey and Judge Jules. The list is endless! Also having a solid three month stint on Jules's radio 1 show over the late summer and turning up on Armin van Buuren's "Universal Religion live '04" CD and Tiesto's "In Concert" DVD, which was recorded in frount of 50,000 fans In the early part of 2005 "Find" was re-released on Armin’s own label
Armada with a tougher mix from the German duo Kyau vs. Albert on the B side and Andy Moor’s mix taking the A side. This re-release again caused a storm and has already picked up full backing from mix mag with a no.8 in their big tunes chart for January and a no.1 in their trance chart for February 2005. Armin van Burren listeners to his "A State of Trance" radio show have also voted "Find" at no.4 in the trance tracks of the year 2004 poll. With dance charts across Europe placing "Find" high on their lists Ridgewalkers have reached no.1 on the Technics Dutch dance charts in February 2005

But the band is not just a dance production team but has a whole live feel to their music. With Ive and El coming from a live performance background their song writing is based in a more covenantal form with songs arising from guitar and vocal. With this in mind, Ridgewalkers enlisted some new band members to make it possible to perform their songs live with Aaron on bass and Alan on drums.  The band have also ended off summer 2005 with a killer performance at Dance lake event, Poland. Sharing a stage with names like ABT, Rank 1 and Alex morph 2006 –2007.

Ridgewalkers have moved into more live performances and a lot of new material. Podje has taken over a residency in Sprit Night Club (Dublin) where you will soon see sets from Ridgewalkers (Live) and DJ IVE. At the moment the band are very busy recording. With the follow up single to "Find" and production of their debut album well under way the birth of the live show and a few co-production projects on the burner you will be hearing a lot more from this new Irish talent ….
